Dr. Eric Burton obtained his doctorate in dental surgery from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. As a graduate of Mizzou and a diehard Tiger’s fan, Dr. Eric returned to Mid-Missouri in 2003 to become a practicing Columbia, MO Dentist.
An eternal student, Dr. Eric completes more than 150 hours of continuing education each year ( A Columbia, MO dentist is required to complete 50 hours of CE every two years). In fact, in July of 2009, Dr. Eric was awarded the prestigious Fellowship award from the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). Achieving Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry is one of the few added distinctions a general Columbia, MO dentist can achieve. The AGD is the only professional association exclusively serving the interests and needs of general dentist. To earn Fellowship in the AGD, dentists must take more than 500 hours of educational courses in various disciplines. Candidates must also pass a rigorous exam. The award is then presented to general dentists in a formal ceremony. Eric Burton, DDS, FAGD is one of only 7 percent of general dentists who have achieved this honor. Registered Dental Hygienist/Practice Administrator
Heather is our practice administrator and one of our registered dental hygienists. She was raised about an hour south of St. Louis in Festus, Missouri. She moved to Columbia in 1991 and graduated from the dental assisting program in 1992. She worked as a dental assistant for several years and found it to be very rewarding. She then completed her nursing degree and worked in the health care field for a short time, however, she missed dentistry.
Heather graduated from the Dental Hygiene program in St. Louis in May of 2003 and loves dental hygiene. She is dedicated to helping her patients care for their teeth and educating them of the correlation between oral and total body health.
Registered Dental Hygienist
I am the part time Dental Hygienist here from O’Fallon, MO. I am a recent graduate from Missouri Southern State University and have been practicing dental hygiene for a year now. My experience in the dental field has been a truly rewarding experience. I love working with people all day to help achieve optimal oral health. I love working here at Accent Dental Center because of the compassion and great work ethic everyone has here.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends as well as boating and being outdoors.
Lead Dental Assistant
Hello, my name is Nicole. I have recently relocated to Missouri from Sacramento, California and reside here in Columbia with my husband and son. In my spare time I enjoy baking, going to the gym, taking my dogs to the park, and discovering all Missouri has to offer. I cherish every moment I am given with my family and friends and love spending time with them.
I am the lead Certified Assistant here at Accent Dental Center. I graduated from Galen College in 2001 in the top five of my class with honors. I thoroughly enjoy working in the dental field and wouldn’t dream of doing anything else. My favorite part of my career is caring for and building relationships with my patients. I bring with me a wide variety of knowledge having worked front office for the last two years and now as an assistant again for Dr. Burton. I always put my patients comfort and best interests first and am here to educate them on their dental needs. I find this field of work to be very rewarding. If I can make a difference in just one person’s life I have successfully done my job.
I feel very lucky to have found Dr. Burton and his staff. I enjoy coming to work every day in a fun and positive environment. Not only is Dr. Burton a pleasure to work for but he also provides fantastic dentistry. He provides every patient with quality work and being in this field for over 10 years this is something I can appreciate. Working for someone that I can stand behind lets me know I found the perfect office for me. A smile goes a long way!
I am the Office Coordinator here at Accent Dental Center. I have worked in the Dental field since 1989 having worked as a Dental Assistant and at front desk. I am certified in Basic Skills for dental, CPR certified for Healthcare Provider, and OSHA certified.
I have been married to my husband Brad since 1989. I have 2 children, Kolby and Kassi, and reside in New Bloomfield. I enjoy spending time with my family, watching my kids play ball, camping and deer hunting with my family.
Working in the dental field is very rewarding to me personally because I’m a part of making a difference in patient’s smiles and their overall dental experience and self image. I really enjoy working with Dr Burton because he truly is compassionate about his work and he treats his employees and patients like they are part of the family.
